Missa Minimalis

Title: Missa Minimalis
Date of Composition:Copyright © 1996
Level of Difficulty:University
Instrumentation:a cappella - SATB
Performance Time:5:00
Publisher:Manuscript (formerly carried by ChoralWeb Publishing, Inc., but they are no longer in business)
Dedication:In memory of Mary Clement Sanks, Professor of Music, Montana State University
Program Notes:Minimalism, a twentieth-century technique, is featured in this six-movement Mass. Often each voice part is in a different meter; this results in a rhythmically-challenging work. The layout of the score also is minimalistic in nature; the entire Mass is only three pages long.
Recordings:No recordings are available at this time.
